Fire crews are tackling a blaze at a plastics manufacturer in Wakefield.
Twenty-five firefighters were called to the fire in a chemical storage unit at the Polyurethane Progress Ltd site in Church Street shortly before 0500 BST.
A team of Environment Agency staff was also sent to the scene in a bid to stop potentially hazardous chemicals leaking into the nearby River Calder.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said nearby roads had been closed as the firefighting operation continued.
