People living in south Oxfordshire are hoping a new 170-mile cycle route will boost tourism.
The Chilterns Cycleway starts in Sonning Common in Oxfordshire and passes through Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
A section of the route, which launched on 18 June, is close to Wallingford.
Alison Smart, of Sustainable Wallingford, said: "It should encourage people to pass by or visit for a few days, without increasing traffic."
The cycleway has been set up by the Chilterns Conservation Board and the Chilterns Society.
Jim Havard, of the society, said: "The cycleway was based on parts of the best existing cycle routes and these were linked up. It is on-road, mostly on quiet lanes, and will be clearly signposted."
