Firefighters who tackled a large grassland fire in Staffordshire said the smoke and flames led more than 30 people to contact them.
Several crews were called out to the scene at Rugeley on Tuesday afternoon.
It followed an earlier incident at Hednesford Hills where crews were called out to another grass fire.
Crews said the Hednesford fire appeared to have been started deliberately but it is not yet known what caused the blaze in Rugeley.
