Talks over future of rare earth metals in Tokyo

The US, EU and Japan are meeting in Tokyo to discuss developing alternatives to rare earths, important metals in the manufacture of electrical products.

Earlier this month the trio filed a case with the World Trade Organization, accusing China, where most known rare earths are located, of behaving anti-competitively by restricting supply.
