Olympic champion Bradley Wiggins hurt in collision

Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins is in hospital after being involved in a collision with a vehicle.

The 32-year-old Olympic gold medal winner was thrown from his bike at 18:00 GMT in Wrightington, near Wigan.

He was taken to a local hospital and has suffered broken ribs and a wrist injury, along with cuts and bruises.
