Leah finds out how to stop wildfires from spreading

Earlier this year parts of Dorset were hit by huge wildfires which caused loads of damage to local wildlife.

Wildfires are pretty common at this time of year because hot weather can cause the perfect conditions for a fire to start.

But although fire fighters are usually called on to put them out, in Dorset the crews have been lighting them on purpose so they can learn more about how they spread.
