A scientist is going to use cloning technology to help increase numbers of the Scottish wildcats.

There are only about 400 left in the wild so experts hope that by cloning they can stop the species from disappearing.

Fifteen years ago scientists successfully cloned an animal for the first time; a sheep called Dolly.

Since then they have cloned other species of cats and even a wolf using the cells from a dog.
