Coldplay won the award for the Best British Band for the third time. The group now have seven Brits in total. They opened the show at the O2 Arena with a performance of their new single 'Charlie Brown'.

Adele performs her single 'Rolling in the Deep' at last night's ceremony. It was only her second live performance since her throat surgery last year. She went on to collect awards for Best British Female and Best Album, for her album '21'.

Ed Sheeran collects the Award for Best British Breakthrough Act from Nicole Scherzinger. It was his second award of the night after winning Best British Male. Ed was up for four awards in total - Best British male, breakthrough, single and album.

One Direction celebrate after picking up the award for Best British Single. Their song 'What Makes You Beautiful' was up against Adele's 'Someone Like You', Ed Sheeran's 'The A Team' and 'Price Tag' by Jessie J.

And the Best International Male goes to...Bruno Mars. The singer looked thrilled after collecting his award from Jessie J. He also performed his single 'Just The Way You Are'.

Rihanna rocks the Brits with her troupe of dancers on stage as she performs her single 'We Found Love'. She collected the award for Best International Female.
