Performers and visitors take part in the parade on the second day of the Notting Hill Carnival in west London. The Caribbean style carnival is held every August Bank Holiday. It started in since 1966, and the organisers say it is the largest festival celebration of its kind in Europe.

People taking part in the parade dress up in bold and brightly coloured outfits to entertain the crowds. There are also lots of steel bands, calypso music and street food.

There are celebrations in Leicester today too at The Belgrave Mela Festival, a celebration of Indian food and culture.
