The 10 sports stars on the shortlist for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year have been revealed. First up (in alphabetical order of surnames) is diver Alicia Blagg (left), who won golds at the British Diving Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
The award goes to the year's most outstanding young sportsperson aged 17 or under on 1 January 2014. 13-year-old swimmer Erraid Davies became Scotland's youngest ever Commonwealth Games competitor this summer, winning bronze in the SB9 100m breaststroke.
Another big star of the Commonwealth Games was gymnast Claudia Fragapane, who won four gold medals to become the most successful English woman at a Commonwealth Games in 84 years.
Wheelchair racer Jade Jones won bronze in the T54 1,500m in Glasgow.
Athlete Morgan Lake won double gold at the World Junior Championships, in the heptathlon and high jump.
Golfer Bradley Neil won the British Amateur Championship in June.
Kayaker Rebeka Simon won a silver at the Junior World Championships.
Para-cyclist Sophie Thornhill (right), along with pilot Helen Scott, won two tandem golds at the Commonwealth Games.
Rebekah Tiler became the youngest weightlifter to win a senior women's British title - at the age of 15. She visited the Newsround studio in July!
Gymnast Nile Wilson became the first Briton to win five golds in one junior European championships. He also won four Commonwealth medals, including two golds. The winner will be announced during the BBC Sports Personality of the Year programme on 14 December.
