Great Britian's Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic heroes were welcomed home with a massive victory parade in Manchester on Monday afternoon.

The stars took an open-top bus through the centre of Manchester to celebrate their record-breaking performances at Rio 2016.
More than 150,000 people braved the rain to line the parade route sporting gold hats and waving flags.
Stars including Jessica Ennis-Hill, Max Whitlock, and Ellie Simmonds are justsome of the athletes that took part.

The Paralympians won 147 medals in Rio, winning 27 more than they did in 2012.

Many of Team GB's heroes and the Paralympic stars have lived and trained around Greater Manchester.
The velodrome training centre for Team GB's track cycling athletes, who have brought home 11 Olympic medals, is based in the city with many of the team living nearby
Jason Kenny, now one of Britain's most decorated Olympians, hails from Bolton in Greater Manchester. He married fellow gold-winning cyclist Laura Trott recently.
