Euro 2022: England players and fans celebrate at Trafalgar Square

People started to gather from 11am in London's Trafalgar Square ahead of the special celebrations.

Fans of all ages had been arriving throughout the morning, looking for a spot with a good view of the stage.

Georgia Stanway, Leah Williamson and Ella Toone showed off their winners medals.

England head coach Sarina Wiegman lifted the trophy high in celebration, giving the fans behind a great view!

The crowds loved it, basking in the fact they were witnessing history unfolding.

There were plenty of painted faces at the celebrations, showing the Lionesses just how much support they had.

Some young fans had come hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite players.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who had announced the event, also spoke on stage to congratulate the team on their win.

England's Ella Toone who had scored in the final, was having a great time - she even put a sun hat on the trophy!

There was also time for the players, including fellow goal scorer Chloe Kelly, to have a bit of a sing song to...Sweet Caroline of course!
