Pupils said a special goodbye and thank you to Pat their beloved school cook
A dedicated dinner lady from a school in Greater Manchester has retired after working there as a cook for an impressive 34 years.
Pupils held a special assembly for Pat to say thank you for her extraordinary service.
In her time at the school she may well have served several generations of the same family.
Pat, who is 71 years old, was known for her special cheese and onion pie. Yum.

During half-term, she used to prepare a special lunch for people in the local church and community.
She was so popular, pupils organised a special assembly to celebrate her, and she was joined by many people in the local area that care about her.
The school's headteacher said Pat was a "wonderful part of the team" at the school.
