Who's in the Afcon and Asian Cup finals?

It's set to be a big weekend in football with both the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) and Asian Cup Finals being decided.

Battling to take the Asian title are hosts Qatar, who will be taking on Jordan for the trophy.

Qatar are aiming to defend their title in their home country and they are now one win away from doing so.

Meanwhile hosts Ivory Coast will be taking on three-time champions Nigeria in the Afcon.

Both sides with big reputations in the tournament, neither have won or been in the final since 2015.

In the Asian Cup, Jordan stunned two-time winners South Korea on Tuesday to reach their first Asian Cup final with a 2-0 win.

It was Almoez Ali's late strike that helped Qatar reach the final with a 3-2 victory over Iran.

Qatar are hoping to become the first team since Japan in 2000 and 2004 to win back-to-back Asian Cup titles.

Ivory Coast's Sebastien Haller scored the winner as 2023 Africa Cup of Nations hosts Ivory Coast beat DR Congo 1-0 in their semi-final.

Nigeria beat South Africa 4-2 on penalties to reach the final.

Nigeria are aiming to win their fourth African Cup of Nations tournament, their first since 2013, which would put them level with Ghana in terms if wins.

Ivory Coast are looking to make it a hattrick of titles and to win their first since 2015.

The Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé in Ivory Coast is the host venue for the Afcon final, which takes place on Sunday 11 February with kick off is at 20:00 UK time

The Asian Cup final will be held at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar, which was also the site of the 2022 World Cup Final between Argentina and France.
