Murray brothers will be back on court together

Andy Murray will be pairing up with his brother Jamie in the doubles at the Citi Open in Washington in the US next week.

The brothers have played together before to help Great Britain to win the Davis Cup in 2015.

But they had different partners in the men's doubles at Wimbledon this year. Jamie paired up with Neal Skupski (and was knocked out of the competition in the first round), while Andy teamed up with Pierre-Hugues Herbert, advancing one stage further than his sibling.

Citi Open manager Mark Ein said: "They called us and said Andy really wanted to come back to DC and wanted to play doubles with his brother."

"We're putting a real focus on doubles at the event. It's a terrific piece of the competition and entertainment value for fans, so we were thrilled he wanted to return."

The brothers' mum Judy Murray appears to be excited about the news too.

She posted a picture of her sons when they were younger on social media with the caption: "Washington @CitiOpen doubles team......... 💞"

Jamie Murray actually won the Citi Open doubles last year with his former partner Bruno Soares. They also won the Australian and US Open titles.

But the tournament will be Andy's first one on a hard court since undergoing a hip operation in January, and his fourth in total since the surgery.
