Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna tells L'Equipe he will definitely leave the club this summer.

The 31-year-old's contract is due to expire and he has not been able to agree a new deal despite an offer from the 2014 FA Cup winners.

Granada hire Joaquin Caparros as coach for the next two seasons, while their La Liga rivals Levante have a preliminary agreement for Jose Luis Mendilibar to replace him as their manager.

Caparros, 58, confirmed the move on his personal website and signs a two-year deal with an option for a third.

Mendilibar, 53, will move to Levante on a one-year contract.

British number two Heather Watson is up against it in round two of the French Open. She trails by a set and is 4-2 down in the second against Romanian Simona Halep.

Both Manchester United's Wayne Rooney and Arsenal's Jack Wilshere are in good form in England training according to Hodgson.

Quizzed on views Liverpool's players should feature heavily in the England side, Reds' captain Steven Gerrard says the praise makes him "proud".

Asked how near he is to knowing his side for the World Cup opener against Italy on 14 June, England manager Roy Hodgson says: "Not that near simply because the performances of the players in training has been so good.

"They have been so keen to stake their claim so I have to admit it's not going to be an easy choice. There are a lot of positions around those senior players that need resolving."

Hodgson refuses to be drawn on which young players have impressed him during training at St George's Park, insisting all of the players have shone.

"If I could bottle what I'm seeing at the moment and release it on the 14th of June against Italy I'd be a happy man," says Hodgson.

Captain Steven Gerrard continues: "The young lads have done fantastically well and we have two great players fighting for every position in the starting XI. Everyone is capable of being picked in the starting XI and that keeps the standard high."

Hodgson says England are "desperate" to depart for the World Cup off the back of a good performance against Peru as he wants to leave a good impression for the home fans.

The 66-year-old says it is very difficult to decide who accompanies Steven Gerrard in midfield and is yet to give his team to face Peru to the players.

"I haven't told the team what my team is," he says. "We haven't had that meeting yet and I don't like to divulge it in the press before the players know."

England manager Roy Hodgson says Southampton's Luke Shaw did not train on Thursday as he is suffering with a slight cold.

Hodgson cannot predict if Shaw will be fit to face Peru on Friday but says the issue is "minor."
